Custom Drapes, Window Treatments and Interior Design in Weston CT from Interior Designer Tami Smight
Creating your ideal dream home requires making tons of decisions, and being very organized. Many Westonites commute to NYC and beyond for work, leaving very little or no time to spend exploring design options let alone gathering bids, and finding the best products for the project. As your designer, it is my goal to be your advocate and guide you through the process to relieve your stress and allow you to enjoy the process and the end result!
When I completed a total renovation of a Weston 1961 Colonial home, I curated a great team of contractors to execute the design. I worked with a Weston architect, Weston contractor, the Weston Conservation Committee from the Town of Weston in securing building permit permission. I really valued working with a local team to keep the dollars in Weston, CT and build a local team of trustworthy professionals. As a veteran renovator, I will add great value to your home renovation project.
I proudly offer my full menu of design services to you and your Weston Connecticut home. For my clients, in-home design consultations are easily planned considering Weston is my hometown as well! Additional services I offer in the Weston area are custom window fashions (including Roman shades, draperies, valances natural woven shades and much more), paint color consultations, staging a home for sale, space planning and furniture specification. So many Weston residents have the desire to update the home, which can be accomplished with a quick design consultation or a full home renovation.

Living in California for three decades, I built my interior design business with integrity and passion. Each client regarded me as a trusted advisor and advocate, a guide through the design process. Recently a prospective Weston client phoned me to discuss her design project. With the initial complimentary phone call, I enjoy hearing all about the project, and what is the catalyst for the home improvement project. Is it a newly purchased home, a renovation after kids moved out, prepping a home for sale, or just time for a change? As often happens, the client started describing the scope of her project and realized it was quite large. So she asked a great question “Can we accomplish this project in stages?” My answer was a resounding “YES”. The best part of hiring a professional designer is to have a master plan in place, we can then execute the project in stages as your resources allow. I often tell clients that a home is ever changing, as our children grow up and move out, our needs change for how we live in the home. So rather than thinking of the home as being “finished”, what I strive for is for the spaces to feel cohesive, even if there is a future project to update later.
Interior Design is a beloved passion of mine, and I hope to make it as equally enjoyable for you. It comes down to helping people. It thrills me to no end to help express my client’s idea of a beautiful home.
After all, why do you work so hard if not to return to a safe haven to replenish and renew your spirit and connect with loved ones?
Home is where we celebrate birthdays and holidays, where we raise our children and create memories.
That is my highest calling as a designer, to create a beautiful and functional space that my client anticipates returning to at the end of the day.
I believe you deserve a home which will rise up to meet when you walk in the door.
Let’s create it together!
