Maybe it is the little kids in me, but I just love train rides. Not the commuter train on Metro North quite so much, cause that is sometimes a bit stressful, trying to navigate through Grand Central Terminal to my final destination in NYC.

The kind of train I am talking about is the kind you can ride at the Railroad Museum of New England in Fairfield County, CT.

The fall foliage viewed through the passenger car window of the Fall Foliage & Pumpkin Patch Train ride is just spectacular.

Come winter, you can book passage on the Northern Lights Limited and Santa Express! Whether you are 6 years old or 60, you will feel like a kid stepping onto these trains.

The museum itself is worth checking out, with or without the train ride. Check the website for other events throughout the year.

Speaking of view. You might consider custom window treatments that allow in more natural light, or a color consultation to brighten up a room, or even my full home renovation management and interior designer touches for your Fairfield County home.

Here is a post on Custom Drapery vs Ready Made Drapes.
